Recently, 343 provided a development update on the highly requested mode: We reported last month that a player had managed to access the mode early, and was showing off some of the new functionality. Recently, 343 announced a further delay of the mode, and revealed that a small group of community creators were testing the upcoming addition. This was expected, as the delay in the mode was announced last summer, however, a further delay to the feature was later confirmed when 343 extended Halo Infinite Season 1, which was originally expected to conclude early this year, until May 2022. Halo Infinite’s multiplayer launched last December without Forge mode, a popular game mode that allows players to create their own maps and game types.
